This Privacy Policy describes how TallyBid ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our construction estimating platform ("the Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and password. Payment information is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe) and is not stored on our servers.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you use the Service, including pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address.

Estimate Data: We store the construction estimates, project details, line items, and reports you create using the Service. This data belongs to you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Process transactions and manage your subscription.
• Send you important notices about your account, billing, and service updates.
• Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the user experience.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use third-party services (such as Stripe for payments, Supabase for data storage, and Vercel for hosting) that process data on our behalf.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
• Secure authentication with hashed passwords.
• Regular security monitoring and updates.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 30 days to allow for reactivation. After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

• Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You can update or correct your personal information through your account settings.
• Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal data.
• Export: You can export your estimate data at any time through the Service.

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

9. Children's Privacy
